Congratulations damned soul, you have been considered for parole.
After an eternity of screaming, you’ve finally been offered a job. Not salvation - a promotion. Bring snacks, you'll be there a while.
Welcome to PAPERWORK IN PURGATORY, the most soul-crushing bureaucracy in the afterlife. Your job is simple: keep the line moving.
Purgatory is backed up, Hell is overcrowded, and Heaven HR is breathing down our necks. You're manning the Desk - the intake window where every lost soul begs for their final destination. If you can survive 7 days without getting fired (or smited), you earn a spot in the very line you're manning. A win-win. Well, a win for you, maybe.
HOW TO DAMN (OR SAVE) A SOUL:
The dead think they're innocent. They're not. They slide you their claimed sins, virtues, last rites, and pathetic excuses. Your job is to check the database, cross-reference their BS claims, and decide.
ACCEPT if they pass.
REJECT if they fail.
YOU decide their fate.
A saint with a hidden murder? DENIED.
A thief who actually fed the poor? ACCEPTED? Your call. Just don't screw it up.
THE RULES ARE SIMPLE.
- 3 Lives. That's it. Make an error and the system notices. 3 errors = 1 life lost. Lose all 3 and you don't get fired. You get processed.
- 7 Days to Freedom. Make it through a full week on the window and you win. You get paroled. You get to be the next sorry soul in line.
- Everyone lies. The database lies less. Trust nothing, question everything.
You thought your job was Hell?
Buddy, this IS Hell. And the paperwork never ends.
Clock in, damned soul.
