🧪 Sprite Lab

Turn your AI-generated art into actual game-ready pixel sprites.

You asked an AI for a walking zombie and it gave you... a smooth, slightly melty painting that sort of looks like pixel art if you squint. Sprite Lab fixes that.

Drop in your image. Sprite Lab strips the mushy anti-aliasing, snaps it to a clean palette, hardens the edges, and hands you back a crisp, transparent, actually-pixel-art sprite that won't make your other assets look embarrassed to stand next to it.

🔬 What it does:

  • Custom output size — 16×16 icon or 128×128 portrait, your call, not locked to a preset grid
  • Keep aspect ratio — tall or wide sprites get scaled to fit, not squished into a square
  • Edge hardening — kills the stray anti-aliased fuzz sitting on every edge
  • Outline normalization — unifies wobbly, inconsistent outlines into one clean line
  • Hard alpha — every pixel is either fully there or fully not, no ghostly semi-transparent halos giving away the AI origins
  • Background removal — one click, gone
  • Batch mode — drop in a whole folder of animation frames, clean them all at once
  • Sprite sheet packing — batch output packs straight into a ready-to-import sheet
  • Presets — save your exact settings once, reuse them on every future batch

🎮 Built by an actual solo dev, for actual solo devs. I built this because I was burning hours by hand-cleaning AI-generated sprites for my own games and got tired of it. If you're doing the same thing — turning AI concept art into usable game assets — this should save you a genuinely painful chunk of that work.

Not included: Sprite Lab doesn't draw your art — you still need something to generate the source image (Midjourney, SD, whatever you're using). Think of it as the cleanup crew that comes in after, not the artist.
